Inside MIS Arabia
Maritime Industrial Services Arabia Co. Ltd (MIS Arabia) is a joint venture between Al-Yusr Townsend & Bottum Co. Ltd. (AYTB), Shoaibi Contracting Est. (Shoaibi Group) and Maritime Industrial Services Company Inc. (MIS) UAE, launched in 2001.
Since its inception, MIS Arabia has provided a range of fabrication and contracting services to the oil and gas sector in the Kingdom with particular focus on three areas of scope:
- Fabrication of Oil, gas and petrochemical processing equipment.
- Site Installation, construction and commissioning.
- Professional, technical and operational services.
In 2001, MIS Arabia reopened its fabrication facilities in Jubail Industrial City in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With a total land area of 85,000m² and a covered fabrication shop of 4,000 m², MIS Arabia has seen a high level of growth in a relatively short period working with some of the leading oil and gas companies both regionally and internationally.
MIS Arabia is a certified and approved supplier to local companies like Saudi Aramco, SABIC Industries, Saudi Consolidated Electric Co. (SCECO), Khafji Joint Operatins (KJO) in addition to providing services to international contractors like Bechtel, Linde, Amec, McDermott and Technip.
Some of the certification that MIS Arabia holds is the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) authorization for the MIS-Arabia shop to use of “U”, ”U2”, ”PP” and “S” code symbol stamps. Further, The National Board has certified MIS-Arabia to apply their “NB” land “R” marks to register boilers, pressure vessels, or other pressure rating items with National Board in accordance with its provisions. In addition, MIS-Arabia conforms to the quality system standard ISO 9001 and its is certified and periodically audited by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI).
