Inside MIS Kuwait
Overview
The operation was started in 1992 primarily as a support base for MIS services in Kuwait and Northern Gulf, The Kuwait facilities are registered in the name of Hamad Al Hamad (HAH), and located in West Shuaiba Industrial Area, Kuwait.
The MIS Kuwait operation is based on an agreement between MIS and HAH whereby MIS supplies capital, machine shop equipment, fabrication and construction machinery together with management and operating personnel to perform its services in Kuwait.
HAH provides space and facilitates the logistics of operating in Kuwait.
MIS Kuwait comprises 3 main divisions:
- A comprehensive API licensed oilfield machine shop available 24 hours per day holding 6 licenses API 5CT, 7-1,6A, 16A, 16C and 16D. The facility includes a covered machine shop equipped with lathes, boring machines, milling machine, grinders and shaper together with stress relieving, Pressure testing, cutting equipment.
- An ASME licensed fabrication facility holding ASME “U” and “R” stamps for the fabrication and repair of pressure vessels of various sizes and thickness along with other mud systems up to 4,500 barrels, mobile acid and cement tankers, steam recovery oil tank systems and cement silos.
Each bay is equipped with a 5 to 16 ton capacity overhead crane. - A Technical Services division providing a 24 hours service deploying skilled technical staff to various locations in the region
