Expands company’s scope to manufacture of Substructures, Masts

UAE-based Maritime Industrial Services Co. Ltd. Inc. (OSE: MIS) announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Rig Metals LLC (formerly 3CMI), has recently received API 4F certification. This new certification, involving one of API’s most rigorous processes, allows MIS Rig Metals to offer an expanded scope of services to cover the manufacture of additional Drilling and Well Servicing Structures including Masts and Substructures at both specification levels (PSL 1 and 2), and to apply the API 4F monogram to the respective products.

Mr. Kevin Hudson, MIS’ Managing Director commented, “Rig Metals has helped add additional services to MIS’ existing business and this certification will in turn help Rig Metals grow its business, over the coming period.”

MIS’ Rig Metals is now one of three companies in the UAE currently holding the API 4F certification. “Since its launch in 2004, Rig Metals has continually sought to develop and grow its business and this certification allows us to offer an additional service to our clients,” said Hani El Kurd, Operations Manager of Rig Metals.

Rig Metals occupies a 30,000 m² yard in Dubai Investment Park including a 2000 m² fabrication shop and has a skilled workforce of some 120 people. With its core specialisation in land rig refurbishment and high pressure piping fabrication, the company has a diverse mix of international and regional repeat order clients.
